The Lotus Path offers workplace wellbeing services to enhance employee wellness through somatic practices and scientifically supported nervous system regulation techniques.
In today’s fast-paced work environments, cognitive fatigue, workplace stress, sensory overload, and physical burnout are at an all-time high. When the nervous system is trapped in a chronic "fight-or-flight" survival state, the body diverts resources away from the prefrontal cortex -the area of the brain responsible for critical thinking, decision-making, and emotional regulation. As a result, cognitive function and productivity naturally decline.
Traditional wellness initiatives frequently target cognitive behaviours, or encourage high-energy group activities. However, stress, overwhelm, and burnout are physical states deeply embedded within the body's nervous system. For employees already feeling depleted or who are sensitive, introverted, or neurodivergent, these demanding formats can create even more anxiety and stress.
By merging the multi-dimensional benefits of yoga & body-based practices with modern psychology, I provide a powerful, evidence-based approach to employee wellbeing that can be seamlessly incorporated into your workplace initiatives. It can also balance other wellness strategies by providing zero-demand, low-sensory sessions where employees don't have to talk, perform, or push through their exhaustion, allowing them to quietly regulate their nervous system and restore cognitive clarity.
Depending on your requirements, these wellness experiences can be tailored to your needs, with specific offerings available either on-site at your workplace, off-site at my location, or at a venue of your choice. They are fully adaptable to individual or group physical capabilities, meaning they naturally support Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) strategies. Offering these targeted benefits to employees demonstrates an employer's commitment to genuine, modern care. In turn, this strengthens employee satisfaction, improves retention, and enhances your status as a progressive employer.
Workplace Wellbeing Services
Meet The Lotus Path Founder
I'm Deborah (Deb) Stainer, a Workplace Wellbeing Consultant and somatic practitioner who bridges the gap between psychological science and somatic practices to combat workplace stress, overwhelm & burnout.
I hold a BA (Hons) and an MSc in Psychology, both accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), and a qualified Yoga teacher and Reiki Practitioner. This unique combination allows me to address the physiological mechanisms of stress, while delivering the practical, body-based tools that restore and reset nervous systems of individuals within organisations.
My passion is deeply rooted in lived experience. Having navigated severe burnout myself, I understand the high cost of a nervous system overwhelmed by modern workplace & life demands. While my psychology background informs an evidence-based approach to nervous system regulation, my training in the various elements of yoga such as somatic work, breathwork, and Yoga Nidra (NSDR) provides the physiological relief that cognitive strategies alone often miss.
Today, I partner with businesses, organisations and local working groups to deliver wellbeing workshops, tailored experiences, yoga sessions and low-demand relaxation spaces. Recognising the diverse needs of modern teams, my experiences are built to be highly inclusive, gentle, and neurodivergent-friendly thereby providing an accessible sanctuary for highly sensitive, introverted, or overwhelmed employees.
Rooted in the biology of stress, these sessions can introduce your team to how the Autonomic Nervous System transitions between the Sympathetic state (the "accelerator pedal" driving stress) and the Parasympathetic state (the "brake pedal" driving rest and recovery). Your employees will discover simple, practical tools to physically signal the brain that it is safe to slow down.
The inclusion and length of individual elements on offer will depend entirely on your specific time requirements and business needs.
What benefits does my Nervous System Regulation offer?
Burnout Mitigation: Practical practices that allow staff to step out of daily work demands, down-regulate their nervous system out of a survival state, and build a personalised toolkit for ongoing stress management.
Sensory Overload Management: Targeted exercises to de-escalate the nervous system after prolonged screen time, high-stimulus environments, and constant digital notifications.
Neurodiversity Support: Offers a temporary, low-demand, zero-pressure space designed to respect unique sensory profiles. This gives both neurodivergent (including ADHD and autistic staff) and neurotypical employees radical permission to drop social masking and naturally recharge. (Note: While our on-site office workshops can be fully adapted to minimise sensory inputs, our off-site nature retreats provide the ultimate, distraction-free environment for deep systemic rest.)
Non-Sleep Deep Rest (NSDR): A guided deep rest technique (also known as Yoga Nidra) that can be adapted into a short, targeted office reset or extended for immersive down-regulation to clear cognitive fatigue and restore mental clarity.
"Stealth Mode" Tools: Invisible, highly effective breathing and grounding techniques employees can use secretly at their desks or mid-meeting to instantly lower their heart rate without anyone noticing.

Nervous System Regulation & Resilience
Yoga
Workplace yoga incorporates gentle movements, breathing techniques and mindfulness to promote physical, mental and emotional wellness for employees. The inclusion and length of the individual elements on offer will depend entirely on your specific time requirements and business needs.
Physical postures can be performed using mats or adapted to use chairs depending on business needs & ability of the clients, and the length of sessions can be adjusted to fit time requirements.
Workplace wellbeing programmes incorporate Yoga to benefit employees by:
Alleviating Desk-Based Discomfort: Relieves the physical strain, muscular tension, and discomfort resulting from prolonged sitting and screen work.
Enhancing Ergonomics & Physical Health: Improves circulation, core stability, and posture, directly countering the physical fatigue of the corporate day.
Optimising Rest & Recovery: Calms the nervous system to encourage deeper, better-quality sleep, allowing employees to return to work fully refreshed.
Cultivating Mental Resilience: Lowers stress and anxiety by teaching employees how to regulate their physical responses to pressure.
Sharpening Focus & Cognitive Performance: Boosts mental clarity, concentration, and a positive mindset, driving sustainable daily productivity.
Sustaining Energy Levels: Dynamically increases physical energy and reduces afternoon sluggishness without relying on caffeine.
Fostering Team Connection: Creates a shared, low-pressure experience outside of daily workloads, strengthening workplace culture and morale.

Businesses and organistions can provide these restorative solutions through accessible on-site workshops, individual sessions, short energy boosting sessions, or a programme of workshops focusing on different elements, e.g., breathwork.
Alternatively, they can be provided through fully immersive off-site retreats or sessions in at peaceful off-grid venue.
Measurable benefits to employers include:
Reduced absenteeism and lower healthcare-related costs by actively mitigating burnout.
Increased productivity, efficiency, and creative problem-solving by clearing staff cognitive fatigue.
Supports EDI and Neurodiversity: My low-demand, zero-pressure environments (particularly off-site) provide an accessible sanctuary for highly sensitive, introverted, and neurodivergent employees, transforming your wellness initiatives from generic perks into truly inclusive practices.
A strengthened feeling of community and deeper, authentic team bonds.
Enhanced communication and collaboration among employees by reducing group stress.
Improved workplace morale, workplace happiness, and overall employee engagement.
Attracting and retaining top talent by offering modern, science-backed mental health initiatives.
Note: While our on-site workplace sessions can be fully adapted to minimise sensory inputs, the off-site retreats and sessions provide the ultimate, distraction-free environment for deep systemic rest.
